Saeco coffee machine descaling steps how to descale my Saeco Intelia espresso machine

Descaling the Saeco Intelia espresso machine helps to maintain the best condition of the product. Learn how to do it easily.

Before starting the descaling cycle

The time to complete descaling is about 30 minutes, including descaling cycle and flushing cycle.

Once the descaling process is started, it must be carried out until the final completion.

Please use Saeco/ Philips descaling solution CA7600 or CA6701, do not use vinegar as descaling agent

Before we begin:

Empty the drip plate

Please prepare a water container during the descaling process.

Remove the INTENZA+ filter from the tank (if any)

Remove Pannarello / Cappuccinatore / automatic foam dispenser (if any)

If the machine has a fresh milk box design, add water to the lowest water level scale in the fresh milk box, and then install it.

Press the MENU button to enter the menu and select "CALC CLEAN" (de-calcium cleaning). If there is no MENU button, please press the CALC CLEAN button to enter the menu and select "CALC CLEAN" (calcium removal cleaning)

Press the ESPRESSO button to confirm the start of descaling. The detergent symbol will appear on the screen.

Take out the water tank and pour the whole bottle of Saeco descaling solution into the water tank

Add clean tap water to the MAX scale in the tank. Please make sure that the water reaches the maximum scale, otherwise additional flushing will be needed. Put the water tank back into the machine

If the machine is equipped with fresh milk boxes, please make sure that the fresh milk boxes are installed and that the milk outlet is located in the water supply position.

Place a large bowl (1 liter) under the steam rod.

Press the ESPRESSO button to start the descaling cycle

The machine will begin to send out the descaling solution at regular intervals. The indicator column on the display screen shows the progress of the loop

When the liquid of the mixed descaling solution and water is used up, the symbol "water tank is empty" appears on the display screen.

Please clean the water tank thoroughly and add fresh water to the MAX

When you install the water tank with clear water, the start symbol will appear on the display screen. Press the ESPRESSO button and the machine will start the flushing cycle

When the "water tank is empty" symbol appears again on the display screen, add clear water to the MAX in the water tank. Insert the water tank into the machine and press the ESPRESSO button again to continue

If the empty water tank symbol does not disappear, repeat step 11

When the flushing process is complete, the display screen displays "End". Press the AROMA/PRE-GROUND or CAPPUCCINO button to exit the descaling program

The machine will automatically pour the pipe and then preheat it, and perform an automatic cleaning cycle in preparation for cooking.

Empty and rinse the drip plate. The machine can make coffee again.

Press the MENU button and use the OK button to select "START CALC CLEAN" (start decalcification cleaning)

Machine with fresh milk box: the machine will remind you to insert the fresh milk box containing water and adjust the outlet of the fresh milk box to position I.

Pour the whole bottle of Saeco descaling solution into the water tank

Add clean tap water to the CALC CLEAN scale in the tank

Put the water tank back into the machine

Place a filling bowl below the steam / hot water bar and outlet. For machines equipped with fresh milk boxes: please place a bowl below the outlet of coffee and milk.

Press the OK button to start the descaling cycle

The machine will begin to send out the descaling solution at regular intervals. The indicator column on the display screen shows the progress. The process takes about 20 minutes.

Note: press the ESC button to suspend the descaling cycle. To continue, press the OK button

When the liquid of the mixed descaling solution and water is used up, the display screen will show that the water tank is empty.

Flush the water tank and add fresh water to the MAX, then put the water tank back in place. A flushing symbol appears on the display screen (two water droplets)

Put the bowl back in place.

Press the OK button and the machine will start the flushing cycle

When the water tank is empty, please flush the tank and add water to the MAX scale. Push the water tank back to the machine

Press the OK button to exit the "calcium removal cleaning" program

15. The machine warms up and performs an automatic flushing cycle.
