Focus on the discussion: is the coffee flower really that important?

People who know how to pull flowers are now found on the streets in Hong Kong.

I heard that a chain store held a flower-pulling competition for its employees not long ago.

As a result, the champion... Is to pull a lovely "bunny" = v =

In the past, for me, there were only "pull" and "can not pull".

So what are they competing in the flower-pulling competition?

Participated in Millrock Latte Art Competition in 2008

Three months before the start, we have already started to verify the standards of the competition.

I have asked many friends who have experience in international competitions.

I have seen the champion works of the previous years.

After that, I began to correct my flower-pulling technique and began to practice.

The first condition of the competition is Free-Pour (directly into the molding method). The other rules are not detailed here.

If you are interested, you can leave a message and ask again. The following is the scoring standard of the pull flower competition:

1. Contrast (that is, the color contrast between coffee and milk foam)

two。 Balance (that is, your pattern should be balanced from left to right)

3. Difficulty (that is, the difficulty of the pattern, which is very difficult and can be done under great pressure and unfamiliar with the machine!)

4. Creativity (it depends on whether you can pull out a special pattern under the Free-Pour technique)

In fact, there are a lot of details, each pattern has a specific scoring criteria

But the scores of the above 1 and 2 account for the largest proportion of the score.

Use the following picture to illustrate:

The above is a flower-pulling demonstration of "Rosetta", not the best one on my hand.

But it can be used as a scoring standard (the winner of the competition is much better than mine)

Contrast-this is qualified (because espresso has been kept for a long time), that is, all places except "flowers" should be brown.

Balance-this is qualified, but the last part of the pull-out has a little handshake (old problem-mouth-").

Difficulty-this aspect of difficulty is not high, but the champions who have watched for many years are just pulling a leaf.

Creativity-you don't have to say that there is no creativity in this design. _ _

But in terms of Rosetta, there are some special places where we can get more points.

The expansion at the bottom is what you have to do at the beginning of the flower.

If the bottom unfolds well, it will have the feeling of "wrapping" the pattern.

In terms of skill, I will push forward a little at the beginning.

In addition, add a big "heart" to the last action of Rosetta.

I think it's too big. Don't learn--

The summary is as follows:

Comparison is necessary, which indirectly depends on your ability to cook espresso.

If the crema is not well cooked or the color is too thin, it is impossible to make a contrast.

But on average, this restriction is really helpless.

Because there are a lot of beautiful patterns that I think are not balanced between left and right (eg. Swan or wave heart)

I still remember that someone pulled Free Swen (swan with wings) during the 2008 competition.

He is really good at playing, and this flower has a high difficulty score (under so much pressure)

But unfortunately, it is impossible for Free Swan to strike a balance between left and right.

So the final score given to him by the judges was not very high.

It can be seen that the standard of balance accounts for a big contrast in the score!

Under the condition of "balance", the space for "creativity" is greatly reduced.

In the end, all the contestants chose to pull Rosetta. Get a high score easily without losing it.

Why not change the name of the game to "Rosetta Latte Art Competition"!

Send a Roestta clip that has been practiced for the competition. Don't just "pull" and practice other patterns right away.

Espresso has basic skills, pull flowers also have basic skills, and Rosetta is the most basic pull flowers!

(all of the above is based on the information collected by friends and seniors and my summary. Maybe friends are lying, XD.)
