In March 2017, Yunnan Coffee Trading Center held the 2nd Yunnan Green Bean Competition, inviting 24 internationally renowned Q graders to serve as judges, including Ted Lingle, an American CQI consultant. In the 12-day competition, a total of 120 green beans from different producing areas of Yunnan participated in the competition, of which 110 coffee bean cups scored more than 80 points. Finally, 12 best raw beans were selected, which came from Menglian, Xishuangbanna, Pu 'er, Ning' er and other different regions respectively. The champion was sun-exposed beans with a cup score of 85.5455 points, which exceeded the previous score. The second place was also sun-exposed beans with a cup score of 84.7045 points. The third place was washed with a cup score of 84.1364 points. The 12 best green beans were put up for the first time in a 24-hour international bid at SCA's annual meeting in Seattle in April. Most of the bidders were international bakers, and the last 12 green beans were all marked.

Gongyu Coffee is located in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. It was founded in 2011. Since 2013, it has participated in all previous Pu 'er green bean competitions with brilliant achievements. Including winning the International Cup in Kunming in 2013, winning the third Puer Green Bean Competition in 2015, winning the first Yunnan Green Bean Competition in 2016, and winning the runner-up in the second Yunnan Green Bean Competition this year. At present, Gongyu has six production bases in Yunnan, covering an area of 300,000 mu, among which the farms with the best quality and repeated champions come from Xiding Base.

Xiding Farm has a very high altitude of 1700-2000 meters, which is almost the highest altitude for coffee planting and production in Yunnan. The whole farm covers an area of 26000 mu, 70% of which is covered with forest. Cherry blossoms are particularly lush, and the coffee planting area is 5000 mu. Due to the large temperature difference between day and night, day and night can reach 10-20 degrees, clouds, coffee cherry sugar content is very high, quality is particularly good.

The infrastructure of Gongyu is quite perfect, and it has a very wide sun-drying field with a total area of more than 11,000 square meters. The quality of the sun-dried coffee produced is extremely stable. Most coffee in Yunnan is still washed, and it is only in recent years that more and more high-quality sun-dried beans have begun to appear.
