Why is it so expensive?

Blue Mountain coffee beans are expensive because of their low production and are always in short supply. The real blue mountain beans must be produced by the local Blue Mountain (Jamaica Blue Mountains) in Jamaica, and those certified by the Jamaican government are authentic within the officially designated cultivation range of Jamaica (3000-5500 feet above sea level). Located at a high altitude of more than 2100 meters, Jamaica Blue Mountain belongs to volcanic soil, rich soil, cool and foggy weather and abundant rainfall. Because of the limited acreage, the average annual production is only 12000 tons, of which more than 80% are exported to Japan. The top blue mountain, the output is very small. Generally speaking, the so-called Blue Mountain coffee that has been emptied and packaged on supermarket shelves, such as Melitta,Movenpick, is only blue mountain "flavor". There may be only 1% of blue mountain beans, or even none of them!

Blue Mountain Coffee beans are divided into three levels:

Grade II Blue Mountain (Blue Mountain No. 2)-more than 96% of beans must be 160.17 in size, and bad beans should not exceed 2%.

The price of Blue Mountain Coffee bought by the public can vary greatly.
