Nicaraguan Water Source (El Fuente) Rose Summer

El fuente, which belongs to the Domingo family, is one of the oldest farms in Nicaragua, with high elevations and dense forests that made it the best place for guerrillas to hide during the Nicaraguan civil war. Farmer Domingo can still remember clearly that bullets used to fly over the house when he was a child.

The property of the estate now belongs to different members of the family, but the coffee garden is managed by Domingo Vargas Domingo. Two years ago, he acquired the coffee garden from his nephew and began to focus on improving the quality of coffee. It is amazing that his Kaddura can have 87 points.

All the estates cover a vast area of 84 hectares, but only a few of them are engaged in farming, and most of the others are mountainous, reserved for forests. Although coffee is important, diversity is also important for families. Domingo will gradually increase the planting area of coffee, but will also develop tourism.

The beans grown on the manor are Catua í, Kaddura (Caturra), Pacas (Pacas), Catimor (Catimor), Maracaturra and so on. But to everyone's surprise, one day when the raw bean merchant visited Domingo's water washing plant in Jinotega, he suddenly showed up with four bags of raw beans, which turned out to be Rose Summer! The next day the raw bean merchant went to the farm and saw the rose summer tree that produced the coffee, the extremely rare rose summer in Nicaragua.

It turns out that 12 years ago, Domingo's nephew planted the roses at the highest altitude of the manor, when the Panamanian summer just appeared, shocked the world, he also wanted to try. But because the water manor had nothing to do with the boutique coffee market in the past, the coffee was completely forgotten at the top of the mountain, until Domingo bought the estate and rediscovered the potential of this rosy summer.

Rosa rugosa planting area is only 1 hectare, 1450 meters above sea level, harvesting is very difficult, almost requires expert-level picking technology, the number is therefore very limited.
