Golden Rain Manor, which belongs to Aquiares Manor, was founded in 1918 by British immigrants from Jamaica. In 1971, three young college students, from Nicaragua, El Salvador and the United States, decided to pool funds to buy the estate.
One of them, Mr. Alfonso Robelo, is the general manager who is still directly in charge of the manor operation. The name of the manor is Lluvia de Oro, which comes from a kind of orchid abundant in the manor area, and it is also a variety of orchids. The color of the flowers is the beautiful golden yellow. When they are in full bloom, the beautiful petals are like the rain of gold, hence the name, and Lluvia de Oro literally means the rain of gold.
