Introduction to the classification of Costa Rican coffee
Starting from the beautiful three-eyed sand butterfly in Costa Rica, it leads to a series of coffee stories related to Costa Rican SHB DOTA Tarazu AA coffee raw beans, which may be the so-called "butterfly effect".
Costa Rica is the second smallest country in Central America. Located between Nicaragua and Panama, its name means "Beautiful Coast".
Coffee was first introduced into Costa Rica from Cuba in 1808. At present, coffee accounts for 1/4 of the export revenue, ranking first among commercial crops. Under the interaction of numerous coffee varieties, rich soil, high altitude and unique microclimate, Costa Rican coffee has one of the best coffee reputations in the Central American coffee market.
Costa Rican coffee beans are graded by altitude.
SHB: grows at an altitude of more than 1200 meters.
HB: grows between 1000 m and 1200 m above sea level.
These are things that we all know. Here I would like to popularize the true meaning of AA in raw coffee beans in Costa Rica SHB DOTA Tarazu AA (newly arrived in Hong Kong)!
The meaning of AA is different from other ratings in the past.
The AA here is the cup test score of Costa Rica's selected boutique coffee; more than 80 points are fine products, 80-83 points are AA,85 points and above AAA,85 scores are A4; the scores are strictly evaluated on the basis of COE score.
Costa Rican SHB DOTA Tarazu AA (newly arrived) sack logo is a blue butterfly. Blue is usually regarded as pure, noble and so on; in Costa Rica, the sight of a blue butterfly is considered to be a good wish for good luck and wishes to come true.
There are many kinds of butterflies, one of which is the most impressive blue Morpho that lives in the rainforests of Costa Rica. Its wings are large and gorgeous, with bright blue and black edges. When the light hits the wing, it will produce physical phenomena such as refraction. Wings produce rainbow-like colors under the action of optics. If there is a group of blue Morpho flying in the rainforest, it shines with a dazzling blue metallic luster.
