Mocha (English: Moka pot), also known as steam brewing coffee pot, is a tool that uses the pressure caused by boiling water to help cook coffee. It originated in Italy and was invented by Luigi De Ponti and Alfonso Bayerati (Alfonso Bialetti) in 1933.
The coffee pot is made of aluminum or stainless steel and is divided into upper and lower parts, connected by a catheter in the middle. In the lower pot used to hold water, the kettle body has a pressure relief valve that automatically relieves pressure when the pressure is too high. When the bottom of the coffee pot is heated to boiling, the water is converted into steam and the pressure on the water surface increases. So the boiling water goes from the catheter to the powder trough where the ground coffee is held. After being filtered by a strainer, enter the pot and then drink it. Due to the short extraction time, the coffee powder used in mocha pots is generally ground finer than American coffee, but slightly thicker than Italian coffee, and the coffee brewed out is stronger than ordinary filtered coffee.
Mocha distinguishes mocha beans
Mocha beans: from Ethiopia, Yemen was called Arabian until the 6th century in the park, so the coffee trees transported from them to other places were also called Arabian coffee trees. Yemen is the first country in the world to produce coffee on a large scale as a crop. The method of cultivation and treatment of mocha coffee in Yemen today is basically the same as that of hundreds of years ago.
