The alliance unites 20 cooperatives in the Agaro region, one of the most promising coffee producing areas in Ethiopia.
The coffee is produced in a semi-forest agricultural system and is produced on 1 to 20 hectares of smallholder farms. The cherries were sent to the water washing station of the cooperative and pulped with a Penagos pulp machine. The mucus was removed mechanically after fermentation for 12 hours.
