Fazenda Klem
At Fazenda Klem, coffee is a family affair. Nagipe Viana Klem, the patriarch of the family, started the coffee business in the mid-1950s. From the beginning, he was dedicated to producing quality coffee. His focus on environmental issues and high-quality coffee was unparalleled at the time.
In 2010, Nagipe Viana Klem, Caesar, Marcio, Sergio and Claudio's children continued to pursue his dream and began to improve Fazenda Klem's coffee. Transition from traditional coffee to certified organic coffee and invest in pulp machines, dryers, greenhouses with African dryer beds and new dryer platforms. In 2017, Fazenda Clem finished third in the Brazilian Cup of Excellence with 91 points and 17 points. "We're proud of where we come from, our family, our coffee, and we always want to bring our coffee to every table."
Located between 900 and 1250 meters above sea level, the farm is part of a beautiful Atlantic forest that stimulates a vibrant ecosystem. The farm combines the diverse cultures of coffee, avocado and banana trees. Fazenda Klem crops start growing in June, which is early for Brazil (usually between July and September). Because of this, coffee ripens more slowly, giving the seeds more time to absorb sugar. The farm works with 50 partners, each responsible for their own farm area. All partners are involved in the entire production process and assume responsibility for delivering high quality batches. Fazenda Klem packs coffee in visual plastic bags made in Brazil. These bags are designed to extend the quality of the coffee, basically using the same technology as GrainPro.
