Starbucks and Aiyi Group, one of Yunnan's largest coffee operators and agricultural enterprises, announced the establishment of Starbucks Coffee (Yunnan) Co., Ltd in early 2012. So far, the joint venture is moving towards its development goals, and the processing plant will start production later this month, just in time for the current coffee harvest in Yunnan. The plant, part of the Starbucks-Eni joint venture, will be able to process up to 20,000 tons of green coffee beans a year.

Starbucks' enthusiasm and sustainable practice, coupled with our years of agricultural production experience, will enhance the entire Yunnan coffee industry and ultimately improve the quality of coffee harvested by our coffee growing community.
