LA FALDA
Juan Vicente Montoya (Juan Visente Montoya) is a small coffee producer whose family depends entirely on coffee. He grew up growing coffee with his father, and when he inherited a small piece of land, he decided to start his own farm. He produces Rambala and Katoi grape varieties, fertilizes them twice a year, and carefully watches his plants for signs of leaf rust. Although Juan has no official coffee certification, he is committed to protecting the environment and managing his farm with as few chemicals as possible. He also uses coffee pulp as compost to improve soil structure and uses native tree species as shade for some coffee plants.
