Introduction of Cayanza Coffee in Burundi Cafe Coffee Flavor characteristics Cayanza Coffee planting advantage
In Burundi, to the north near the border with Rwanda, is the Kayanza region. Burundi does not have a clear growth area like many large countries. Instead, you can find local strains of heirloom bourbon all over the hills, no matter how coordinated the soil, altitude and climate factors are. Kayanza has 21 washing stations where farmers can take away cherries for processing, some of which are becoming models.
The province of Cayanza (Kayanza) is one of the most prestigious coffee regions in Burundi. The coffee farm is located in the highlands with fertile soil on the volcanic terrain. But the best growth conditions alone are not enough to produce high-quality coffee. To get top coffee, skilled and professional processing stations are essential. The processing station supervises and practices the good economic model and farmers' production education.
Cajanza has a mild climate, with an average annual temperature of 18 °C, while most coffee farms have rainfall of between 1700 and 2000 mm. The highest rainfall is in April, while July is drier.
All these conditions together produce coffee, which is famous for its high acidity and citric acid. In 2015, Kayanza Coffee scored 91.09 points in the Excellence Cup.
