The bumper harvest of coffee fruit in Ning'er County has attracted more than a dozen factories to buy. According to purchasers, the coffee market has risen this year. Last year, the average purchase price of fresh coffee fruit was 1.5-1.6 yuan / kg. This year, the purchase price of fresh coffee fruit is 2.5 yuan / kg. Even at the peak, the purchase price of fresh coffee fruit can rise to 3.1 yuan / kg. The selling price of coffee beans is between 20 yuan and 22 yuan per kilogram.
For the development and growth of the local coffee industry, to get rid of poverty and become rich, a certain amount of money was invested in the growers in Ning'er County, and green prevention and control measures such as installing insecticidal lamps and placing armyworm boards were installed in the planting protection of coffee trees, so as to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and finally increase production and income in Ning'er County.
According to the CCTV Sannong Network, the coffee planting area in Ning'er county this year is 103500 mu. After improving the quality and efficiency, the output is expected to increase by 9.9% over last year. In 2020, the coffee output of Pu'er reached 58000 tons, an increase of 1.76 percent over the same period last year, and the comprehensive output value reached 2.44 billion, an increase of 5.36 percent over the same period last year.
Yunnan is one of the producing areas that can grow high-quality coffee beans in China. Yunnan coffee accounts for more than 98% of the country's coffee planting area and output, and is the largest coffee bean production base in the country. And 50% of Yunnan's coffee output comes from Pu'er, which has become the main coffee producing area and distribution center with the largest planting area and the highest output in the country. In 2020, Pu'er coffee was selected into the first protection list of the China-Europe Geographical indications Agreement, and got the "green pass" to the central European market, which further broadened the international market of Yunnan coffee.
