Before that, Coca-Cola said: by 2030, the same amount of packaging of products sold by the company will be recycled around the world, so that beverage bottles will not become garbage or enter the ocean and be recycled.

In addition, according to foreign media reports, Coca-Cola, one of the world's largest soft drink companies, will sell its South African bottling business worth 669 million US dollars.

Coca-Cola plans to sell about 30 per cent of its South African bottling business to local non-white investors, worth about 10 billion rand ($669 million), the South African business technology website reported.

The deal will benefit employees, other partners and non-white investors. Coca-Cola bottling South Africa said black shareholders would hold 20 per cent and employees 15 per cent, but did not mention details of the deal.

Sources pointed out that Coca-Cola South Africa bottling company is valued at 45 billion rand, which also means that the new shareholders are at a discount to acquire the relevant shares.

It is understood that Coca-Cola's African beverage business, headquartered in Port Elizabeth, serves 12 countries, including Kenya, Ethiopia and Ghana, accounting for 40% of Coca-Cola's beverage sales on the African continent.

CCBA became Coca-Cola's largest bottling business in Africa after Coca-Cola bought a 54.5 per cent stake in Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) from AB InBev for $3.15 billion in December, while AB InBev bought SABMiller for more than $100bn in October, the largest acquisition in the history of the food industry.

Founded in 2016, CCBA is the largest Coca-Cola bottling plant in Africa, mainly through the merger of SABMiller Beer Group, Coca-Cola and Gutsche Family Investments's African non-alcoholic ready-to-drink bottling rights.
