Raw materials are soaring! Starbucks announced a price increase late at night!

According to several media sources, Starbucks in Taiwan suddenly issued an announcement on its website in the early morning of February 11, announcing that the prices of some goods will be slightly adjusted from February 12, 2025.

The announcement pointed out that because raw materials are affected by abnormal climate and international situation, Starbucks has to adjust its prices in order to reflect the cost of some raw materials.

According to officials, the price increase includes freshly brewed espresso and daily selections, both by 5 yuan (Taiwan dollars), while tea and cappuccino series are up 10 yuan (Taiwan dollars). For example, "strawberry, Brazil berry and lemon flavor Xingqin Shuang will rise from 85 yuan (NT $) to 95 yuan (NT $)," the increase is 11.8%.

Starbucks confirmed that the price increase includes almost all ready-made drinks, mainly related to freshly brewed espresso and daily selections, which include American style, latte and caramel macchiato. Daily selection series, including coffee Mistol and nitrogen cold extract, will be increased by 5 yuan (NT $).

In addition, tea products include tea lattes and pure tea, with a total of 22 items, all of which will be increased by 10 yuan (NT $), or about 5.3% to 10.5%. The Star Frappuccino series includes 11 categories of Xingqin Shuang, with an increase of 5.4% to 11.8%.

In addition to changes in beverage prices, Starbucks' internal refill offers have also been adjusted simultaneously. In the past, consumers could enjoy a 30% discount on refills on the same day and in the same store with invoices, but tomorrow it will be changed to a 50% discount on refills. However, in addition to announcing price changes, Starbucks has also launched a series of discounts to attract consumers. From February 12 to 14, Starbucks will hold "Happy Valentine's Day Friends sharing Day" for three consecutive days. But in fact, for large chain brands such as Starbucks, the company has already set the cost of raw materials.
