As we all know, black coffee is a general term, which refers to coffee made without adding other materials other than water and coffee, such as American, cold extract, Italian espresso, hand-brewed coffee, etc., which are all members of black coffee.

Although they are all made from water and coffee, different methods will give the coffee a completely different texture. Even for the same coffee bean, there are certain differences in the aroma, taste, and taste of the coffee under different extraction methods. So let's share with Qianjie the differences between different black coffees made from the same bean! Before sharing, Qianjie would like to introduce the coffee beans used in this brewing meeting-Qianjie strawberry sugar espresso~ This is a very versatile blend bean. It is made from three producing areas: Costa Rica, Colombia, and Ethiopia. Coffee beans are blended together. Moderately roasted it has a strong berry aroma and a very balanced taste. It is neither too sour nor too bitter, and can be suitable for all methods of coffee making.

So Qianjie chose to use it as the coffee bean for this sharing. It just happens that it is also on Qianjie Coffee's activity list today. Friends who haven't had time to participate in the event should pay attention ~

1. Espresso Espresso is the coffee with ultra-high concentration made using an espresso machine! Although there is only a small cup, because of its extremely high concentration, it has an extremely rich taste and thick taste.

Take Qianjie as an example. When Qianjie uses Qianjie strawberry sugar espresso to make espresso, a powder-to-liquid ratio of 1:2 will be used, and the extraction time will be controlled at about 30 seconds. In fact, no matter what kind of coffee bean, this set of parameters can be adapted. The espresso made with it will not only have a very high concentration, but also have sufficient extraction rate. The taste performance is not excellent, but it can also be called delicious. The espresso made by Naqian Street uses Front Street strawberry candy espresso with this set of parameters. As Front Street mentioned, it has an extremely strong taste and aroma. We can drink the flavor of berries, cream, and caramel biscuits. The taste is full and solid, and the taste is very balanced, but because of the high concentration, it is a little strong, but it is also very delicious, with a strong sweetness and a long finish, which is very good.

American Coffee If we take the espresso made with Front Street strawberry sugar Espresso as a base and add four times the amount of water to the coffee liquor, it will transform into a cup of American coffee.

Because the addition of water dilutes the concentration of the coffee, the coffee will become easier to taste, and the overall taste and taste will be much softer, but it will also be rich and mellow. Compared with the former, because of the reduced concentration, we can taste some more delicate flavors on American coffee, including strawberries, white flowers, cream, and caramel.

Hand-brewed coffee Hand-brewed coffee is a relatively complex trickle-filter extraction, but the complexity mainly lies in the steps and preliminary preparation levels. The brewing is relatively simple and the fault tolerance rate is also high. As long as we use the right parameters, we can easily brew a pot of delicious coffee.

When using Qianjie strawberry sugar Espresso to make hand-brewed coffee, Qianjie will use the following parameters for brewing: powder amount 15g, powder and water ratio 1:15, grinding degree 70%~75% of No. 20 sieve sieve rate, brewing water temperature 89°C, and extraction time controlled within 2 minutes. The hand-brewed coffee brewed in this way will have rich layers. Because the concentration and extraction rate are just right, the taste of the coffee is very soft, light and smooth, the taste is very balanced, and has a very prominent and clear flavor. We can obviously drink the flavors of strawberry candy, jasmine, blueberry, caramel, cream, and chocolate, with a long finish, which is very good.

Cold extract coffee Cold extract coffee is different from all previous coffees. Although coffee is extracted only with water, it uses cold water to soak it. Compared with the previous three, the extraction efficiency of cold water is lower, so it takes longer to produce. But it is relatively simpler to make. You just need to pour water and coffee powder into an airtight container and refrigerate and soak it. It can be said that it is very, very simple. When using Qianjie strawberry sugar espresso to make cold extract coffee, Qianjie uses the following parameters: powder-to-water ratio 1:10, soaking time 10 hours, filtered out and refrigerated and fermented for several hours.

The cold-extracted coffee made with Qianjie strawberry sugar espresso has a very outstanding sweetness. In addition to the beans themselves, the extraction rate of ice water immersion is low and the bitter substances in the coffee will not be too much dissolved, so the coffee produced will have a more prominent sweetness compared to the previous one; the taste is mellow and full, and the flavor is also very obvious. It is also strawberry, cream, chocolate, and caramel, with a long aftertaste, which is very good.

So the above are the different presentations of a coffee bean under different production methods. It can be said that each has its own characteristics, so even if it is black coffee, it can make a big difference ~
