Boutique Coffee Coffee doesn't necessarily lift your spirits
In order to stay awake and improve work efficiency, many office workers are bound to drink a cup of espresso in the morning, but research shows that coffee does not necessarily boost spirits.
Research shows that coffee doesn't really boost energy, and it even makes people who are already energetic want to relax, which may benefit only lazy people.
The study, published in the journal Neuropsychopharmaceuticals, was led by Hoschin, a PhD candidate in the department of psychology at the University of British Columbia, Canada, to explore the effects of stimuli on mice.
The study found that coffee reduced the activity of "busy" mice, while "lazy" mice became more active.
Hoschin, a scholar, said that according to the research, how much effort people put into achieving their goals may be the key to determining the effectiveness of stimuli.
