The coffee producing area of Yunnan Province is mainly located in the tropical and subtropical area between the north of Indo-China Peninsula and the south of Yunnan Province, with a continental climate on the northern margin of the tropics. Breeding cold resistant varieties to improve the ability of disaster resistance and harvest protection has become an urgent task of coffee genetics and breeding in Yunnan Province.

On January 1, he found the two old coffee trees, which are about 2 meters high and 2 meters wide, with 3-5 main poles, in the shape of shrubs, located at the front and back of the house and in the corner of the field at an altitude of 1630 meters and 1650 meters, respectively. the fruit yield of a single plant is estimated to be about 3000 grams. These two old coffee trees are particularly cold-resistant, and there are no rust spots on their leaves. They are particularly vigorous. Although the trees are nearly 60 years old, they still have luxuriant branches and leaves.
