The difference and relationship between Coffee and Coffee
Tea and coffee are the favorite drinks of the Vietnamese. After tasting the beauty of tea and coffee, we can understand the character of the Vietnamese.
Tea is mellow and thick. Vietnam is a famous tea village in Southeast Asia, among which Taiyuan tea is the most famous. Taiyuan Province is located in northern Vietnam, and its unique terrain and climate are suitable for the growth of tea trees. The first Taiyuan International Tea Culture Festival was held in mid-November. Friends from all over the world walked into the tea garden to taste the fragrance of Vietnamese tea and experience Vietnamese culture.
Where there are Vietnamese talking and laughing, there must be the smell of tea. There is no final conclusion on when the Vietnamese will form a bond with tea. However, as a country nurtured by oriental traditional culture, drinking tea has become a necessity for Vietnamese life. When you interview some government enterprises in Vietnam, you will be surprised to find that there is usually a set of tea sets on the coffee table where they entertain guests. The host warmly beckoned the guests to sit down and poured a cup of hot tea. The yellowish tea rose with a delicate fragrance, refreshing and shortened the distance between people. Whether in the festive moment of the festival, or in the warm moment of reunion of relatives and friends, the Vietnamese will drink tea. Near the apartment where I live, some roadside tea stalls are full of tea guests, including old people, college students and young white-collar workers. Drinking tea is a continuation of tradition. Tea keeps Vietnamese calm in the fast pace of social life.
If tea is the inheritance of the traditional spirit of the Vietnamese, coffee is the expression of the modern spirit of the Vietnamese.
Coffee, full-bodied and warm. The Vietnamese word for "cafe" is similar to the word French coffee. As early as the 1870s, the French first introduced coffee to Vietnam and planted it on a trial basis in northern and central Vietnam. Finally, the French found that the fertile red soil and plateau climate of the Xiyuan region in the central and western part of Vietnam was the most suitable for coffee trees. It has become a coffee growing base in Vietnam. The vast expanse of Xiyuan, with white coffee flowers in full bloom and red coffee fruits all over the branches, not only enriches the local people, but also gives birth to the coffee culture of Vietnam. Vietnamese coffee from Xiyuan to the world, once became the world's second largest coffee exporter after Brazil.
With the passage of time, coffee as a Westerner has been integrated into the life of the Vietnamese people. In Ho Chi Minh City, known as "Paris of the East", the blending of Eastern and Western cultures affects the lives of local people. There are many cafes around Notre Dame Cathedral in the center of the city. On a sunny day, I found a seat here. The stall owner smiled and nodded to me, then handed me a cup of iced coffee. Under the scorching sun, cool coffee seems to bring a fresh breeze. Although I am in a busy city, I get a rare peace of mind. What used to be a small business and hawker has now become a scenic spot in Ho Chi Minh City. My friend told me that not only foreign tourists are happy to take a nap here, but also local young people often patronize here.
I like dripping coffee best. Sitting in a cafe in the ancient city of Hanoi, ordering a cup of leaking coffee, listening to the sound of drops of coffee stirring in the cup, gazing at the moss in the deep alleys of the ancient city, time seems to slow down and thoughts change from ups and downs to calm. Every brick here is full of stories, and each story is the accumulation of Hanoi history and culture. When I was intoxicated with the beauty of coffee, the laughter of the children brought me back to reality. It turned out that several little boys were playing football in the not wide street. The children in the ancient city are born with the warm and reserved characteristics of Hanoi people.
Tea and coffee, the former traditional, the latter modern. Tea and coffee meet and blend harmoniously into Vietnamese life. In the disturbing process of globalization, coffee gives Vietnamese the vision and strength to embrace the world. In the process of being in line with the world, tea keeps the Vietnamese awake and stabilizes their roots.
