Last Updated: 2024/11/17, A few days ago, the first coffee climate test station in Pu 'er City of Yunnan Province was built and put into use in West Village of Mohei Town, Ning' er County.

Its completion will greatly enhance coffee production and disaster prevention and mitigation meteorological service capabilities, promote the healthy development of the coffee industry, and increase farmers 'income.

The research data show that Pu 'er's climate, geography and soil conditions are unique for planting coffee. Pu' er is located in the plateau climate zone with low latitude and humid monsoon climate in the south subtropical mountains. The Tropic of Cancer passes through the border. The hot zone area is vast and there is sufficient precipitation. These are the superior conditions for the growth of high-quality Arabica coffee. In recent years, meteorological disasters have occurred frequently, seriously affecting coffee cultivation. The agricultural, scientific and meteorological departments of Pu 'er strengthened cooperation, carried out research on the relationship between coffee and meteorology, established coffee meteorological service system, and used meteorological information to serve coffee production and disaster prevention and mitigation, thus minimizing the harm and loss caused by disasters and achieving remarkable economic and social benefits.

It is reported that the agriculture, science and technology and meteorological departments of Pu 'er City will strengthen analysis and research on the basis of coffee climate test station, combined with the existing automatic weather station, satellite, new generation weather radar and other detection data of meteorological department, further improve coffee meteorological service system, establish data and resource sharing service mechanism, improve coffee meteorological service capacity, and provide strong meteorological science and technology support for the development of local coffee industry.
