The effect of drinking coffee drinking 5 cups of tea or coffee a day reduces the risk of brain tumor by 40%
According to the Daily Mail of 26th, drinking at least five cups of coffee or tea a day can help prevent brain tumors, according to a new study conducted by Imperial College London.
The findings are published in the journal Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention. In the course of the experiment, the researchers studied more than 300 men and women who were diagnosed with gliomas, a type of tumor that usually starts in the brain.
When they compared the coffee drinking habits of patients with brain tumors with those of healthy people, they found that those who drank at least five cups of tea or coffee a day were 40% less likely to develop cancer. Caffeine has a greater "protective" effect on men, but scientists don't know why.
One theory is that caffeine reduces blood flow to the brain, preventing tumors from growing due to lack of oxygen and nutrients. Decaffeinated tea or coffee does not have the above effect.

Research teams from the National Cancer Research Center (Tokyo) and the National circulatory Disease Research Center (Osaka) recently released results showing that people who regularly drink green tea or coffee have a 20% lower risk of stroke than non-drinkers. It is reported that this may be due to the vascular protective effect of green tea and the improvement of blood sugar value of coffee. The research team has been attacking the Northeast since the second half of the 1990s.
