Two Starbucks coffee drinks were named "worst coffee drinks" by American magazines because of their high calorie content.

New Express reporter Qiu Chunyan reported that Starbucks, a variety of mixed coffee drinks are the most popular, but these drinks are several times the calories of regular coffee, so it is more harmful to human health.

Two Starbucks coffee drinks were named the worst coffee drinks by a leading US magazine because they were blended coffee drinks with 239 calories compared to 63 calories for regular coffee and tea. The magazine said that drinking the "purest" and "darkest" coffee is good for the human body, but if the coffee is mixed with chocolate, cream, eggs and syrup, it is not really coffee, and it is definitely bad for the human body.

Although coffee blends are the more unhealthy products, about two-thirds of Starbucks customers prefer them, according to a survey of New York customers by researchers. In the Chinese market, according to the reporter's personal experience, when customers ask for black coffee at Starbucks, Starbucks employees generally suggest that customers choose another "fancy" coffee with chocolate or cream.

According to foreign reports, the two Starbucks coffee drinks rated as "worst coffee drinks" are: Starbucks double chocolate chip frappuccino (containing whole milk and cream) and Starbucks white hot coffee (containing whole milk and cream). The two coffee drinks have 520 calories and 640 calories respectively. Drinking one of the first coffee drinks is equivalent to eating three-quarters of the body's recommended daily intake of fat, and its sugar content is equivalent to 10 popsicles; drinking the latter is like "drinking dessert".

Starbucks to End Partnership with Kraft

Starbucks has decided to end its increasingly fractious partnership with U.S. food maker Kraft Foods, the company told investors.

For the past 12 years, Kraft has been supplying Starbucks coffee beans to supermarkets and retailers. But both companies are now heading to court, with Starbucks accusing Kraft of excluding executives from sales meetings, using knowledge gained from the partnership to launch its own coffee brand and damaging Starbucks 'brand image.

Starbucks executives told analysts that they plan to do the business themselves and end the partnership agreement with Kraft as soon as possible. Howard Schultz, Starbucks chief executive, said the company was planning mergers and acquisitions to build its grocery business. Jeff Hansberry, Starbucks 'president of global consumer goods, said the company is partnering with Acosta, the largest supermarket marketing company in the United States, to sell containerized coffee.

Earlier last week, kraft foods had asked the court for judicial arbitration in a dispute between the two companies. In a statement at the time, Kraft said it acknowledged Starbucks 'right to take over the business, but said the partnership was essentially open-ended and Starbucks should give Kraft enough time to prepare for any changes. Kraft also said starbucks must compensate the company by an amount equal to the fair market value of the business plus a discount of up to 35%.
