Coffee is healthier than wine and beer the relationship between coffee and health
Benjamin Franklin once said that God loves us and wants us to be happy. Beer proves it. Happiness? That's for sure. But what about health? In the past, there were no sanitary facilities and people did not know to protect the cleanliness of water sources. Infectious diseases caused by drinking water were widespread, but it was believed empirically that the disease was no longer prevalent when drinking fermented beverages such as beer and red wine. Because it is believed that alcohol is good for human beings, beer and wine are important drinks for religious events, vacations and feasts. In Europe, after the fall of the Roman Empire, Catholics and monks became owners of vineyards and produced wine and beer. Beer, in particular, added nutrients and vitamins to the monotonous diet at that time, and also brought happiness to people. Researchers have shown that high levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, or good cholesterol, in drinkers protect blood vessels. Drinking alcohol can reduce the level of fibrinogen (a protein that promotes blood clotting), increase platelet levels, and prevent blood agglutination and blood cell adhesion. Scientists in the United States have found that moderate drinkers are 32% less likely to die of heart disease than non-drinkers. According to the study, moderate drinkers are those who drink at least seven times a week. Light drinkers (less than 7 cups a week) can reduce the risk of death from heart disease by 21%. The findings are the same in both men and women. The researchers believe that there are two possible reasons for this result: (1) ethanol in alcohol can dilute the blood and lower cholesterol, thereby reducing the risk of vascular dementia; (2) alcohol causes the hippocampus to release acetylcholine. The hippocampus is the area of the brain responsible for learning and memory. In addition, drinking can also relieve stress. For centuries, we toasted each other's health in various languages.
Now, after a century of observation and 20 years of scientific experiments, scientists have confirmed that beer can not only bring happiness, freshness and a happy time with friends, but also contribute to a healthy life. Beer contains 150 calories, free of fat, cholesterol and nitrate. It contains 1 gram of protein, 13 grams of carbohydrates, a considerable amount of magnesium, selenium, potassium, phosphorus and vitamins. It is rich in B vitamins, such as vitamin B3 (nicotinic acid), vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid), vitamin B6 (pyridoxine), vitamin B9 (folic acid). There are also a small amount of vitamin B1 (thiamine), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B12 (choline) and so on. Beer generally contains 92% water, while light beer contains less calories and carbohydrates. High beer, strong beer or "imperial beer" contain more calories and carbohydrates. Different types of light beer contain different amounts of trace elements. Although the right amount of beer is a nutritious drink to go with food at the dinner table, coffee is still healthier than wine and beer. Red wine and beer are not recommended for breakfast.
