Keyboard-Shaped Coffee Cups for Your Desk

If you’ve ever wished your morning coffee routine felt a little more playful—or just wanted a reason to smile while sipping your espresso—this isn’t your average mug set. A unique coffee accessory designed in Shanghai reimagines your daily brew as part of your computer setup, blending function with a touch of geeky charm.

The set includes 12 mini coffee cups, each shaped like a number key from a standard computer keyboard. These tiny cups are arranged on a single wooden tray, mimicking the layout of a numeric keypad. There are exactly 12 cups, one for each digit from 0 to 9, plus the asterisk and hash symbols—but styled as classic number keys. It’s a small detail, but one that adds both personality and precision to your coffee station.

What Is the Keyboard Coffee Cup Set?

The keyboard coffee cup set is a handcrafted desk accessory created by Shanghai-based E Square Design Studio. It consists of 12 individual ceramic or porcelain cups, each formed in the shape of a computer number key. These are not merely replicas—they’re designed to resemble the actual size, proportion, and layout of the numeric section of a standard PC or laptop keyboard. The entire set is arranged neatly on a single wooden tray, which mimics the layout of a keyboard’s number pad.

How Many Cups Are in the Set—and What Do They Represent?

The set contains exactly 12 cups. Each cup corresponds to a key on the numeric section of a computer keyboard: the digits 0 through 9, along with the asterisk (*) and hash (#) symbols. Though those two symbols are not numbers, they are included to complete the standard 12-key numeric keypad layout found on most computer keyboards. Every cup is sized to be used individually, making the set ideal for sampling multiple coffees, serving espresso shots, or simply adding a conversation piece to your kitchen or office.

Why Would Anyone Want Keyboard-Themed Coffee Cups?

These cups aren’t just functional—they’re designed to bring a smile to your face. For coffee lovers who spend long hours at a computer, the keyboard coffee cup set adds a layer of whimsy to the daily routine. It turns your coffee break into a playful interaction with your workspace. Whether you’re a designer, programmer, or just someone who enjoys themed kitchenware, this set blends practicality with personality. The compact size of each cup also makes it perfect for single-origin espresso tastings or sampling different pour-over recipes without committing to a full mug.

Design and Materials

The cups are crafted from high-quality ceramic or porcelain, with a finish that resembles the smooth, slightly matte texture of plastic keys. The wooden tray is light-colored wood—likely birch or maple—to contrast with the dark or neutral tones of the cups. The arrangement mirrors a real keyboard’s number pad, with the “0” key cup positioned below the row of 1 through 9, and the asterisk and hash symbol cups completing the right-hand side. No electrical components or actual keyboard functionality is included; this is purely a decorative and serving piece.
