Drinking coffee regularly can help relieve muscle pain. Coffee is healthy.

Drinking coffee can help people relieve muscle pain caused by excessive exercise, according to a study released in the United States. Researchers at the University of Georgia reported in the latest issue of the Journal of pain that muscle soreness was reduced by 48% after testing nine female students who did not drink coffee or exercise very often.
After a day or two of exercise, the researchers asked some of them to take caffeinated drinks and others to drink alternative drinks before exercising their legs, the report said. As a result, the former had 48% less pain than the latter, and 26% less pain during subsequent exercise. The researchers pointed out that although caffeine has a pain-relieving effect on exercise, it tends to be effective only for people who do not drink coffee regularly, but has limited effect on people who drink coffee regularly, so their findings do not apply to regular coffee drinkers.
