Coffee weight loss raw coffee beans contain chlorogenic acid to help lose weight
Raw coffee beans seem to help weight loss coffee lose weight, a US study has found.
American researchers conducted a small experiment involving 16 obese men and women for 22 weeks. Aged between 22 and 46, none of them changed their eating habits and had enough daily activity. The study found that people who ate raw coffee bean supplements every day lost an average of 17 pounds, or 7.65 kilograms. Lose more weight than taking a placebo. The results of weight loss research with raw coffee beans have been published in the journal Applied Food Science (Applied Food Sciences).
Joe Vinson, a professor of chemistry at Scranton University and the author of the study, said raw coffee beans were unroasted and caffeine-free. Professor Vincent's team divided the subjects into two groups: one group ate 700 milligrams of raw coffee beans a day, and the other group ate 1,050 milligrams of raw coffee beans. Both groups needed a placebo for a period of time for comparison.
It was found that some people lost only about seven pounds, equivalent to 3.15 kilograms, while others lost 26 pounds, equivalent to 11.7 kilograms, but raw coffee lost an average of 17 pounds. The study was presented at the annual meeting of the American Chemical Society.
Raw coffee beans contain chlorogenic acid, which the researchers believe may inhibit glucose absorption and thus help lose weight.
Connie Dickman, dean of the Department of Nutrition at the University of Washington in the United States, said in an interview with the media that although the results of the study on weight loss with raw coffee beans are very interesting, the number of studies is very small and the research time is very short, so further research is needed to confirm whether raw coffee beans can really help lose weight.
