After years of hard work and efforts, the 26th World Coffee Science Conference, known as the "Olympic event" of the coffee industry, will be held in Kunming from November 13 to 19 this year. This is the first time that China has held the World Coffee Science Conference. Use the upper hand to strengthen wealth

In 1892, French missionaries planted a coffee bean in Zhukula Village, Dali, Yunnan Province. This seed gave birth to the life of coffee and opened the history of coffee cultivation in our province. Since its growth, Yunnan has become the main producing area of coffee in China. By the end of 2015, the coffee cultivation area of our province was 1.87 million mu, and the coffee output reached 139000 tons, accounting for more than 99% of the world's total.

Although China's coffee cultivation area and output are mainly concentrated in Yunnan, China has not yet won a seat as a member of the International Coffee Organization, and the formulation of the scale for the export of raw coffee beans has formed hidden obstacles to participate in international commercial competition. Second, although Yunnan has high-quality coffee materials, the sale of coffee is in a sad field. In order to strive for the "international voice", Yunnan Coffee has made every effort to "practice its internal skills", and its wealth has gradually become bigger and stronger. As a low-grade material, Yunnan small-grain coffee is deeply loved by international well-known brands such as Nestl é and Starbucks, and it is an important export product for our province to earn foreign exchange. In the first half of 2016, our province exported 59500 tons of coffee, earning about 245 million US dollars in foreign exchange, a record high.

The reporter learned from the general meeting of Yunnan Coffee Industry Association held in Kunming on April 9 this year that coffee cultivation in Yunnan Province is mainly in Pu'er City, Baoshan City, Dehong Prefecture, Lincang City, Wenshan Prefecture, Xishuangbanna Prefecture and other 9 prefectures and 35 counties. In terms of household production, Hougu Coffee has a 13000-ton instant coffee production line in Dehong Dai Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, and the 20000-ton instant powder production line under construction is estimated to be completed by the end of the year. In addition, Tian Runyun plans to build a 4000-ton instant coffee production line in Wenshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, when Yunnan will have the largest coffee processing enterprise in Asia. In terms of brand building, after the baptism of the market, coffee products in Yunnan, such as Hougu, Lingfeng, Yuncaine, Manya, Zhongcaine, Cat, Xinzhai, Manlaojiang, Yunqi and other coffee products have been gradually recognized by the market. In August 2015, Zhongka Coffee Company was officially rated as a national-level e-commerce tree model enterprise (collection retail category) of Baoshan Yunwu Qingleng Trading Co., Ltd., and they created a local coffee brand through the method of "Internet +".

Expand the market and expand the influence

In order to strive for "international voice", Yunnan coffee industry tries to expand the international market and promote international influence. The China Jiagu Coffee Raw Bean auction dropped the hammer for the first time at the Yunnan Coffee Business Center in Pu'er City on January 25, 2015. the champion raw beans sold at a value of 2600 yuan per kilogram. On July 1, the "Yunnan New Europe" Post-Valley Coffee International Freight Train was officially put into operation. Yunnan Coffee arrived in Europe on the international special train for the first time, of which 66 containers were loaded with coffee instant powder, symbolizing the progress of Yunnan coffee wealth from the export of materials to the export of household products. On July 16, the first "Chongqing New Europe" Post Valley Coffee International train set off from Lianhe Village, Chongqing. The successive opening of the international freight trains of "Yunnan Xinou" and "Yuxinou" have enabled Yunnan coffee to realize the parallel transportation of foreign trade goods by sea and land, promoted the commercial "blowout" increase of Yunnan coffee export, and made Yunnan coffee earn more than 400 million US dollars in foreign exchange.

On June 16 this year, the Chongqing Coffee Business Center jointly built by nine enterprises, including Yunnan Dehong Hongtian Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. and Chongqing Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd., was officially put into operation; on August 26, the completion and opening ceremony of the Yunnan-Shanghai mutual aid project "Wanguo Cafe" was held in the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. Whether it is the official online operation of Chongqing Coffee Business Center, or the establishment of Wanguo Cafe, all benefit from the help of Yunnan Coffee Wealth across provinces, autonomous regions and cities, and the cooperation of Yunnan, Chongqing and Shanghai. Seize the opportunity to move forward in a group

On September 10, 2014, at the 25th World Coffee Science Conference held in Colombia, the Board of Directors of the International Coffee Science and Information Association (ASIC) announced that the 26th World Coffee Science Conference was held in Kunming, Yunnan, China. So far, Yunnan coffee has been given the opportunity to compete with the global coffee producing countries and the lost countries.

Chen Zhenjia, executive deputy director of the China Coffee Engineering Research Center and secretary-general of the conference secretariat, told the reporter that Yunnan's application to hold the World Coffee Science Conference originated in the era of the 2nd Mangshi (International) Coffee Culture Festival in 2012. Later, Dehong Hougu Coffee Co., Ltd., China Coffee Engineering Research Center, Portuguese Coffee Rust Research Center, Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Foreign experts, and other units made every effort, and repeatedly presented the application to the board of directors of ASIC, inviting its representatives to travel to Yunnan for travel and inspection. In February 2014, the inspection delegation sent by the board of directors of ASIC used one week to specifically examine the coffee producing areas of Kunming, Dehong, Baoshan and Pu'er, and then reported the opinions to the board of directors of ASIC. In the same year, at the 25th World Coffee Science Conference, the Yunnan delegation finally received the flag symbolizing the right to hold it from Colombia and signed a memorandum with the organizing committee.

Xiong Xiangren, Chinese chairman of the organizing committee of the 26th World Coffee Science Conference, president of the provincial coffee industry association and chairman of Dehong Hougu Coffee Co., Ltd., believes that Yunnan Province, as the joint adjacent to the international channel of South Asia and Southeast Asia, is located at the pass of the "China-ASEAN Free Business Zone" of the world coffee-producing countries such as Vietnam and Thailand.
