In his speech at the opening ceremony, Dehong Governor Gong Jingzheng said that 220000 mu of coffee has been planted in Dehong Prefecture, which has led more than 60, 000 households of nearly 300000 farmers to increase their income and become rich, realizing agriculture of 1 billion yuan and industrial output value of 1.5 billion yuan. the industrial system of the whole industrial chain of planting, processing and marketing has been formed. Dehong Hougu Coffee has developed into a business card of biological characteristic industry in Yunnan Province. Mangshi, Dehong Prefecture, is one of the main coffee producing areas in Yunnan Province. It is one of the earliest areas of coffee cultivation in Yunnan Province. According to historical records, small-grain coffee has been introduced into Nongxian Village of Dehong Prefecture since 1914. It has been planted for more than 100 years. Dehong Prefecture also has the largest coffee seed gene bank in China-- Ruili Coffee Germplasm Resources Garden of the Ministry of Agriculture. Dehong Prefecture is one of the first nine tropical crop germplasm nurseries granted by the Ministry of Agriculture. Dehong Prefecture coffee cultivation is mainly small-grain coffee, which has created a per unit yield of 363. The national record of 5kg coffee beans serves as the branch venue of the 26th Coffee Science Conference. The predecessor of the "Asian Coffee Annual meeting" is the China Mangshi (International) Coffee Culture Festival, which is held once a year and has been successfully held for five times. At the Fifth China Mangshi (International) Coffee Culture Festival in 2015, it was decided by the members of the China-ASEAN Coffee Professional Cooperation Committee to upgrade the 2016 Cultural Festival to the Asian Coffee Annual meeting. Mangshi, Dehong Prefecture, which has the largest coffee industrial park in Asia, has become the permanent venue of the Asian Coffee Annual meeting.
