From January to April this year, the United States remained the largest buyer of Peruvian coffee, according to the Peruvian exporters Association (ADEX).
The agency detailed that Peru's coffee bean exports during this period totaled US $164.6 million, an increase of 80 per cent compared with the same period last year.
Of this total, exports to the United States accounted for 24 percent of total exports (US $39.5 million), making the United States Peru's leading destination for coffee sales.
Purchases of Peruvian coffee have also increased in Colombia, Germany, Belgium and Sweden during this period, ADEX said.
However, Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, Ireland and Denmark bought less coffee in that country.
