Water purification technology gives "coffee foaming body" a new meaning.
In the experimental results, the researchers found that the foam filter successfully removed 99% of mercury and lead from static water within 30 hours. Even in flowing water, 67% of the lead that is harmful to health has been successfully removed.
The findings are published in the journal ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering (ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering).
Scientists have proved through experiments that waste coffee grounds can not only be used as road building materials and biodiesel, but also effectively remove heavy metal ions such as lead and mercury from water. A team of scientists led by the Genoa's Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia Institute of Technology in Italy have developed a foam "filter" made from coffee grounds. The foaming "filter" is made of 60% coffee powder and 40% silicone elastomer.
Coffee grounds can be used as nourishment because they contain a lot of nitrogen. However, it is not suitable for all plants, and it is best to mix the soil first, ferment it into compost and then use it in flowers and plants.
With regard to deworming, it does not seem to be effective for all insect pests, but only for molluscs such as snails and slugs.
Remove odor
Dry the collected coffee powder (it is necessary, otherwise it will get moldy) and then spread it evenly into a small box and put it in a toilet and other smelly places. Or put it in a non-woven bag, in a shoe cabinet or in the refrigerator. But you have to change it in 7 days at the most, otherwise it won't work.
The pot has been used for a long time, more or less has the smell of oil, put the wet coffee grounds (or tea grounds) in the pot to stir-fry dry, you can remove the smell from the pot. If there are smokers at home, you can also put a layer in their ashtrays to remove the smell of smoke.
Dehumidification
Also need to dry the coffee powder, put it in a wet place and change the dry one or two days.
Beauty
I think MM all like that. The substance contained in coffee itself has a tightening and fat-reducing effect on the skin, coupled with coffee grounds particles can remove dead skin, so for the summer MM, it should be regarded as a family beauty sanctity.
Maintenance articles
The coffee grounds itself contains a certain amount of oil, so it can be made into a small packet of needles. Or smear the wooden floor in the unwanted stockings to achieve the effect of waxing (forget the car). If you have bronze ware at home, you can wrap the fresh coffee grounds in cloth and use them for maintenance, but the surface of the bronze ware can not be treated, otherwise it will destroy the original surface.
