Recently, according to the statistics of Jiangsu Rugao Port Group, from January to April this year, the Rugao Port bonded Logistics Center completed a total of 2951 TEUs of coffee in and out of the warehouse, with a value of nearly US $200 million, accounting for more than 80% of Jiangsu's total coffee import and re-export trade. it has become the largest entrepot trade base of imported coffee in the Yangtze River Delta region.

It is understood that Rugao Port bonded Logistics Center was opened and operated in June 2016, mainly engaged in bonded warehousing of goods, port tax rebate, simple processing value-added services, import trade and entrepot trade. With its golden coastline, golden hinterland infrastructure advantages and supporting port functions, warehousing and entrepot trade business is developing rapidly, of which coffee bean business accounts for a large proportion. Instant coffee powder, roasted coffee grains, coffee beans and other goods from Vietnam, South Korea, Malaysia, France and other places are transferred to Hong Kong and the mainland through bonded logistics centers. Rugao Inspection and Quarantine Bureau served at the front and stationed in the bonded center to work on the spot, and quarantine inspection and supervision were strengthened immediately, which greatly reduced the operation, logistics, warehousing, distribution and other costs of foreign trade enterprises, and improved its competitiveness in the international market.

With the maturity and development of the bonded logistics center, a number of high-quality projects such as red wine, milk powder and chocolate have been carried out gradually. From January to April this year, the import and export value of Rugao bonded logistics center was about 210 million US dollars, accounting for 2/3 of the import and export value of the five bonded logistics centers in Jiangsu, and is becoming an important gateway and new platform for central Jiangsu to open to the outside world.
