2017 International bidding for the Best Yunnan Coffee

In 2017, Yunnan Coffee entered the international market for the first time, and the first international bidding was held in Seattle: "Best Yunnan Coffee" (Best of Yunnan Coffee Auction).

In March 2017, Yunnan Coffee Trading Center held the second Yunnan Raw Bean Competition, which invited 24 internationally renowned Q graders as judges, including Ted Lingle, an American CQI consultant. During the 12-day competition, a total of 120 raw beans from different Yunnan producing areas took part in the competition, of which 110 coffee cups scored more than 80 points. Finally, 12 best raw beans were selected from different regions, such as Menglian, Xishuangbanna, Pu'er, Ning'er and so on. The winner was sun-dried beans, with a cup test score of 85.5455 points, exceeding the previous score, and the second place was also sunshine, with a cup test score of 84.7045 points. the third place was washed, and the cup score was 84.1364. The first international bidding of the 12 best raw beans was launched at the SCA annual meeting in Seattle in April this year, lasting for 24 hours. Most of the bidders were international baked beans, and all 12 raw beans were marked out.

The second Runner-up bidding batch of the second Yunnan Raw Bean Competition for Common language Coffee in Xishuangbanna

The common language coffee (Echo Coffee) in Xishuangbanna won the second place in the 2017 "Yunnan Raw Bean Competition". It may be the manor with the largest number of champions and runners-up in Yunnan.

Tongyu Coffee, located in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, was founded in 2011 and has participated in all previous raw bean competitions in Pu'er since 2013. Including winning the International Cup in Kunming in 2013, the third Pu'er Raw Bean Competition in 2015, the first Yunnan Raw Bean Competition in 2016, and the runner-up of the second Yunnan Raw Bean Competition this year. Tongyu currently has six production "bases" in Yunnan, covering an area of 300000 mu, among which the farms with the best quality and repeated championships come from Xiding base.

Xiding Farm is very high above sea level, 1700-2000 meters above sea level, which is almost the highest elevation for coffee cultivation in Yunnan. The whole farm covers an area of 26000 mu, 70% of which is covered with forest, cherry blossoms are particularly luxuriant, and the area of coffee cultivation is 5000 mu. Due to the large temperature difference between day and night, it can reach 10-20 degrees day and night, and it is shrouded in clouds. Coffee cherries have high sugar content and excellent quality.

The infrastructure of Tongyu is quite perfect, with a very broad sun-tanning field, with a total area of more than 11,000 square meters, and the quality of the sun-tanned coffee produced is very stable. The vast majority of coffee in Yunnan is still washed, and it is not until recent years that more and more high-quality sun-dried beans began to appear.
