Bastia Manor has been certified by the Rainforest Alliance since 2003 with a total of 10 standards. Bastia Estate, located in the hills of Chinotega in Nicaragua, specializes in Arabica varieties and is also a production and processing center. Altitude of 1100-1450 meters, annual average temperature of 21 degrees Celsius, ideal for growing Arabica coffee beans. The total area of the estate is 470 hectares, and the actual planting area is 252 hectares. The annual output is currently about 3750 bags, reaching 90% export quality.
The harvest period of coffee beans is from November to March of the next year, and the peak yield is January of each year. Since 2003, the park and equipment have passed the certification of Rainforest Alliance. There are ten standards in the certification of Rainforest Alliance, maintaining the highest qualified rate of 95%-98%. The farm is equipped with environmentally friendly and modern coffee bean processing equipment, from washing, drying, storage to sorting and packaging to ensure the best quality coffee.
The farm manager is an agronomist with complete experience in growing and processing coffee. Throughout the year, the farm team performs important tasks, from the care of coffee seedlings to the planting of new seedlings and pruning of coffee trees according to the farm management plan. Harvest begins in December every year. The mature coffee fruits are carefully picked by hand. Every day during the harvest period, the fresh coffee fruits of high quality are transported to the coffee bean processing plant for processing.
