Nicaragua, located in the isthmus of Central America, produces 130 to 2.2 million bags of raw beans per year, ranking third in Central America. The areas near the Atlantic coast in the eastern half of the Nicaraguan border are mostly low-altitude plains and hills, while the southern areas near the Pacific coast are mostly lakes, which are not too high even if they are dotted with volcanoes. The northern and central regions are high-altitude mountains, and the three most important coffee producers, Segovia, Metagalpa and Jinotega, are all here. Most of the prizes are awarded by the estates of these three producing areas in the COE competitions held every year. Among them, the Segovia producing area is the most undulating and has the highest altitude among all the producing areas.

Santa Teresa Manor is located in the Segovia producing area near the border of a small producing area called Dipilto, owned by the Joaquin Lovo family, a famous coffee family in the Tibito producing area. The family started with the first 1.2ha coffee farm about 50 years ago and has now developed three estates, including Santa Teresa, Bella Aurora and La Pradera.

The coffee garden mainly planted Kaddura and Huang Kaduai and adopted the environment-friendly shade cultivation. From cultivation to harvest and subsequent washing treatment, the owner's family is in the hands of others and controls all aspects of the production of excellent coffee. Therefore, since Nicaragua began to hold COE competitions, it has repeatedly won prizes. In the past 10 years, COE competitions have won a total of six awards, and the record is very outstanding!
