Calama is located in Caranavi, the most important coffee producing area in Bolivia, belongs to Los Yungas and is famous for its "Death Road". With the Andes from the arid Altiplano to the Amazon tropical jungle, all coffee has to go through the arduous journey to the exit of the capital La Paz. Kamala is inhabited by indigenous people, with vibrant culture and colorful colors, with local characteristics.

This unique producing area has two microclimates and the soil is extremely fertile, where most of Bolivia's coffee is produced. Kalama is between 1550 and 1700 meters above sea level, and the average coffee farm is only 1-3 hectares. Once the coffee cherries are harvested, they are washed by hand, fermented for 15-16 hours, and then dried on an elevated bed.

Other crops grown include citrus fruits, coca leaves and papaya, which do not use chemical fertilizers.
