About:

The company is a family business with a history of producing and commercializing high-quality coffee for more than 100 years. The Seteo estate, located in Geraskamo, South Minas, is inherited by Jos é Isidro Pereira and Nazareth Dias Pereira and is now managed by their sons and in-laws. The area is famous for its mineral springs, the perfect combination of latitude and altitude, mountainous terrain, distinct seasons and fertile soil.

The favorable climate and growth conditions found in South Minas led to the expansion of the company's coffee program. The group now has large areas where coffee is grown and continues to develop infrastructure to produce a variety of high-quality Arabica coffee to domestic and international markets.

In addition to coffee production, the Girolando Group has successfully started to breed and sell Carlito cattle in recent years, as well as grow and sell corn and soybeans. The company provides highly qualified technical assistance in each area of its activities to ensure the quality of its products.

The team employs about 135 families who live on site throughout the year. These families form the core of Sert ã o's permanent team and provide them with quality free housing, tap water, electricity, milk, coffee and fruit. In addition, the school also has qualified primary and secondary school teachers, local medical and dental care, football pitches and fishing ponds for students' leisure.

In order to ensure and promote environmentally sustainable practices programmes for the protection of springs and water sources wildlife forests and other vegetation and soil have been implemented. All the water used in the sink and pulping machine should be recycled and the residue should be transferred to the sedimentation tank to avoid excessive water use and pollution of the surrounding environment. Coffee is rich in nutrients, and it is used as fertilizer and organic matter in coffee.
