The present situation of the Development of Coffee in Costa Rica

Why are there so many white people in Costa Rica?

First, Costa Rica is located in the narrow continental belt of Central America, facing the sea on both sides, with a small land area and many volcanoes, and because of its lack of precious metals, it is not attractive to the early Spanish colonists. And because most of the area belongs to the tropical rain forest climate, rich in poisonous snakes and mosquitoes, it is not suitable for agricultural development. At present, 60% of Costa Rica's gross national product (GDP) comes from foreign-related tertiary industries such as tourism and international finance, in which the scale of tourism itself has surpassed agriculture and become the most important economic pillar and national symbol of the country.
