(turn) follicular coffee: the exquisite filter cup
Follicular coffee: the fastidiousness of filter cup
The type is divided from the material, the filter cup has ceramic, acrylic, AS resin and so on. According to the number of bottom filter holes, there are three kinds of holes: single hole, double hole and three holes.
The single-hole filter cup was invented by Mrs. Melitta in Germany, so it is also known as the Melitta cup. It is more popular with Germans who like deep baking. However, at the beginning, the amount of coffee powder and the amount of water injected must be calculated, and the water injection must be completed at once, so shallow baked beans which are easy to block the filter pores are not suitable.
Three-hole filter cup is more common, also known as Kalita cup. The three filters make it easy for air and water to pass through, making it suitable for coffee roasted at all levels from shallow to deep. And if the roasting or grinding degree of coffee is uneven, the coffee concentration can be adjusted by adjusting the amount of extraction.
The function of groove (rib)
When using the filter paper dripping method to brew coffee, the filter paper will stick to the wall of the filter cup. Without these grooves, after injecting hot water, the air can only be discharged from the filter hole at the bottom of the cup, and the remaining air will be discharged from the surface of the coffee powder in the steaming state. The coffee powder surface will break a hole, and the cold air will enter, so that the coffee will not be fully steamed. If flannel is used, the air can be discharged from anywhere, and hot water seeps into the flannel cloth to keep warm like a skin film.
Therefore, the filter cup must have a deeper groove, so that after the hot water is injected into the coffee powder, there is a gap between the filter paper and the filter cup to let the air out, so that the coffee can be fully steamed.

No matter what kind of utensils are used to extract coffee, generally speaking, the shorter the extraction time is, the powder will be needed.
