The new scheme has a lower exchange threshold, with 25 stars exchanged for a cup of espresso, with a choice of non-dairy products or other flavors. 50 stars are exchanged for a cup of hot coffee or hot tea or baked goods. 150 stars are exchanged for handmade drinks, breakfasts or Buffy. Exchange 200 stars for sandwiches or salads. 400 stars can choose your own goods. Members who use Starbucks credit cards or prepaid cards no longer need to worry about the expiration of their points.

The old membership program was that customers could get two stars for every $1 they spent. Customers need to reach 300 stars to become gold members within a year before they can start to exchange rewards. And at least 125 stars can be exchanged for a free drink or food, 250 stars can be exchanged for two cups, and so on. The points will expire within six months.
