Pepe Jijon is a unique coffee farmer. Intag includes one of the most biologically diverse regions on earth. It has many endangered species, including bespectacled bears and jaguars. Intag is about 1800 meters above sea level, and deep in the soil is the dormant Cotacachi Volcano volcano, overlooking the state. Part of the Intag region is the subtropical rain forest of the Andes.
