In Shanghai, coffee chains represented by Starbucks are all over the streets. But I'm afraid few people know that a considerable part of Starbucks' coffee beans are purchased from Yunnan. In fact, Yunnan has a history of growing coffee for nearly a century, among which Baoshan small-grain coffee beans from Baoshan City, Dali Prefecture are recognized as the top grade.

However, coffee that costs tens of yuan a cup in coffee shops has a very high profit margin, but it has little to do with farmers. For a long time, the purchase price of Yunnan coffee beans has been controlled by large coffee brands, and local farmers have little say. How to realize "interests stay in rural areas" and really increase farmers' income has always been one of the difficult problems on the local road out of poverty.

Farmers' professional cooperatives are becoming the key to breaking the situation. Driven by the forces of Shanghai to aid Yunnan, a number of farmers' professional cooperatives have emerged one after another in the corresponding support areas in Shanghai. In the future, these cooperatives will play an important role in the process of getting rid of poverty, and at the same time, they are expected to become a new path for industrial poverty alleviation.

Recently, Shanghai joined hands to go to the well-off village enterprise pairing and the construction of farmers' professional cooperatives will be held in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Following the on-the-spot meeting held in Menghai County, Yunnan Province in August last year, foreign aid teams in Shanghai "met" again in the south of Caiyun to investigate and discuss the possibility of farmers' cooperatives.

Look back to Baoshan coffee. Relying on the "village-enterprise pairing", Shanghai introduced pinduoduo, a newcomer of e-commerce, to Baoshan City, Dali Prefecture. "Duoduo Farm Garden" is their enterprise pairing poverty alleviation cooperation project in Baoshan. The reporter saw that the "Duoduo Farm Garden" located in Lujiang Town, Baoshan City, focused on the local coffee industry, covering two poor villages and 792 poor households in Lukang Village and Conggang Village under the town's jurisdiction, trying to help the local build a modern agricultural industry chain with the integration of production, marketing, research, and processing.

However, the real protagonist of Baoshan's "Coffee out of Poverty" is not pinduoduo, but the "Coffee planting Professional Cooperative" set up by the local poor households.

According to the plan, pinduoduo invested money in conjunction with the Tropical and Subtropical Economic crops Research Institute of the Yunnan Academy of Agricultural Sciences to open up a core experimental field and a standardized planting demonstration base for fine coffee locally. After three years of cultivation and maturity, both sides withdrew at the same time, and project management and income were transferred to professional cooperatives for coffee cultivation. In the future, cooperatives will build boutique coffee brands and sell them through e-commerce and other channels, so that poor families can really enjoy the dividends brought by coffee branding and finishing.

Yang Liangqing, the leader of the cooperative, is a native of Lujiang Town in Baoshan. His family has grown coffee beans for nearly 30 years, from the initial 7 mu coffee bean field "shrunk" to now 4 mu. Yang Liangqing said frankly that growing coffee really did not make money: "I never knew how to improve the market value of coffee beans, so I had to wait for someone to come and buy them." The purchase price is also determined by others, as much as they say. " Yang Liangqing told reporters that his family earns less than 10,000 yuan a year by selling coffee beans. The arrival of the Shanghai Precision Poverty Alleviation Program and the establishment of coffee growing cooperatives have given him the hope of breaking and reshaping the existing industrial chain. Around October this year, when the coffee beans are ripe in the new season, the effectiveness of the cooperative's work will be shown for the first time.

In April this year, the "Coffee Poverty Alleviation" project had its first move: in order to boost the enthusiasm of farmers, Duoduo Farm, together with coffee merchants on pinduoduo's platform, bought 61.3 tons of coffee beans at a premium from 51 local poor households with file cards, giving them substantial benefits.

The construction of farmers' professional cooperatives not only provides the possibility for poor villages and towns and poor households to get rid of poverty and long-term development, but also greatly enhances the participation of the poor in the recipient areas. In 2018, as the first batch of villages and towns in Shanghai Pudong New area to join hands with the well-off Action to help villages and towns in pairs, Jianchao Township, one of the four poor townships under the jurisdiction of Yunlong County, became "in-laws". The "Shifangfu" rural e-commerce platform in Jianchao Township was born under this background.

The predecessor of "Shifangfu" was the Sifangfu Farmers' specialized Cooperative in Shaoshang Village, Jianchao Township. Under the lead of Shanghai Yunnan Aid Force, cooperatives have integrated six farmers' specialized cooperatives in other villages, such as livestock and poultry, vegetables, medicinal materials and other related industries, and formed the current Shifangfu Farmers' specialized Cooperative Association.

The newly established "Shifangfu" has jurisdiction over 6 member cooperatives and 18 rural brokers, attracting 733 peasant households to participate in the operation, of which 646 are poor households who set up archives and set up cards. At present, Shifangfu's official website and Taobao store have been put into trial operation, Jingdong store and Alibaba wholesale online store are being set up for the record, and all kinds of WeChat business channels have been opened one after another. Through the e-commerce channel, the local characteristic agricultural products will have a broader market space.

As a pair to help villages and towns, Datuan Town will also make it clear that it will fully support the operation of "Shifangfu" in accordance with the three-year support agreement, and build a specialty hall for inspection trough at the Zhaoqiao tourist reception Center, a beautiful rural demonstration village in Shanghai, to further promote the docking of well-off townships and poverty alleviation by consumption, and to build a display and exchange platform for the plateau green agricultural products in Jianchao Township and even Yunlong County.
