Baoshan small Grain Coffee, a specialty of Baoshan City, Yunnan Province, is a national geographical indication product of China.
According to historical records, coffee was first planted in Taiwan in 1884, which opened the prelude to the development of coffee in China. The earliest coffee cultivation in mainland China began in Yunnan. At the beginning of the 20th century, small grains of coffee were introduced into Baoshan, and a large number of foreign missionaries entered western Yunnan, bringing European cash crops to the local planting and promotion. Lujiangba in Baoshan, Yunnan Province is a unique dry and hot valley climate in Yunnan Province and even the whole country, which is very suitable for the growth of Arabica (small grain coffee). Of this total, 10086 tons were exported, earning US $3.654614 million in foreign exchange, agricultural output value was 634 million yuan, and sales output value was 699 million yuan.
