Coffee is generally grown in the tropics and subtropics before latitude 25 degrees north and south, and only these countries and regions have the conditions to grow coffee; it takes 3 to 5 years for coffee to blossom and bear fruit; good shading effect, high altitude, volcanic rock areas, good beans can produce better quality coffee fruit.

History can be traced back to 1892, when a French missionary brought coffee to Yunnan from abroad and successfully planted the first coffee tree in a place called Zhu Kula. a hundred years later, coffee has become a bright spot of characteristic agriculture on the Yunnan plateau.

After 1930, Mr. Liang Jinshan, a famous overseas Chinese leader, brought coffee to Pudong and Luoming for planting until the founding of the people's Republic of China. After 1952, under the guidance of experts in Baoshan, Lujiang and other places began to grow a large number of coffee, and the history of large-scale cultivation has been nearly 60 years.

In the mid-1990's, the planting scale reached 4000 hectares. By the end of 1997, the planting area of coffee in the province had reached 7800 hectares. At present, the planting area of the province accounts for 70% of the national area, and the output accounts for 83% of the whole country. Yunnan coffee has established the dominant position in China in terms of planting area and coffee bean production.

Lincang

Lincang City is located in the southwest of Yunnan Province, with the Tropic of Cancer running through the south, Pu'er in the east, Dali in the north, Baoshan in the west, and Myanmar in the southwest. It is a bright pearl in the southwest of the motherland because it is close to the Lancang River. The annual average temperature in Lincang is between 16.8 ℃ and 17.2℃. The dry and wet season is obvious and the sunshine is sufficient.

Dehong Prefecture

The birthplace of coffee in China, the area is 1000 to 1600 meters above sea level, covering an area of 2000 hectares of coffee plantations. More importantly, most coffee is grown here organically, making it one of the best in the world.

Pu 'er Tea

As the coffee capital, in 2012, the planting area of Pu'er was 43433 hectares, the coffee harvest area was 18000 hectares, and the annual output of coffee was 36500 tons, of which 24700 tons were exported. The Pu'er coffee industry has 70 registered enterprises, 30, 000 households and a population of about 1 million. Pu'er tea is known as the "city of millennium tea". It is an important coffee producing area in China, with the largest planting area, the highest output and the best quality. it is also an important distribution center of international coffee business.

Baoshan

Small Coffee is the most famous coffee in Baoshan. It took the first step in the late 1950s and soon received positive feedback from London. It was recognized as "the top coffee in the country" at the National Coffee Conference in 1980. In December 2010, Baoshan small Coffee obtained A-level certification and passed the process of China's National Standards Administration, which is considered to reflect China's national geographical indication products.
