SOPACDI cooperative
SOPACDI, for short; La solidarite pour La Promotion des Actions Cafe and le development Integral are located in the village of Tsheya-Minova, South Kivu Province, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The SOPACDI Cooperative was founded in 2003 and was initiated by Mr. Joachim Munganga Mahemu. Today, the cooperative has 7665 members. The goal of SOPACDI is to empower smallholder farmers by improving quality, quantity and selling coffee on the international market. Cooperatives have also improved housing and public infrastructure-roads, bridges, medical centres and schools.
