About Errol.

Juan Diego de la Cerda, a third-generation coffee producer, began operating the farm in 1999. Finca El Socorro has been growing coffee since 1980 and now has 125 hectares of coffee trees. The farm employs about 100 local workers during the harvest season and provides employment opportunities for about 40 people engaged in processing and farm maintenance outside the harvest season. Most coffee is grown in the shade-under avocado, Palobanco and Chichcaster trees, irrigation is provided by rainfall and a local river, and a recycled water system is installed to reduce water waste.
