El Milagro, Miracle Coffee Manor in Peru

Perhaps the smallest of all our partners, CASM El Milagro has supplied us since 2010 and has been providing us with a stable Peruvian FTO. While this achievement itself may be noteworthy, this is especially true of the journey required for coffee to reach the nearest highway. The cooperative base of San Jose de Lourdes is located near Chinchipe in Rio de Janeiro. In order to cross the river, vehicles must first drive to a seemingly thin raft, which is tied to a metal cable to prevent the raft from drifting in the usually strong current.
