In central Kenya, members of the Barichu cooperative are reimagining their future with coffee. Guided by its mission to produce quality coffee and improve livelihoods, the organization supports more than 6000 small-scale farmers. Small-scale growers of this community gather to process freshly picked coffee cherries, combining harvests from individual members. The cooperative is committed to a shared and forward-looking vision that sows seeds for future success. Together they invest in education, create nurseries for coffee seedlings and grow agricultural necessities like macadamia nuts and arrowroot.
