According to the information of Sky Eye Inspection, the civil judgment of the first instance dispute between Shenzhen Meixi Catering Management Co., Ltd. and Yan Zhipeng infringement of trademark right was announced: Defendant Yan Zhipeng compensated the plaintiff Shenzhen Meixi Catering Management Co., Ltd. for economic losses and reasonable expenses totaling 40000 yuan within ten days from the effective date of this judgment.

It is understood that the plaintiff in this case is Shenzhen Meixi Catering Management Co., Ltd., an affiliated company of Xi Tea, and the defendant is Yan Zhipeng. The cause of the case is a dispute over trademark infringement.

In August 2019, Meixi discovered that Yan Zhipeng operated a shop called "Xi Tea (Xuhui Vanke Store)" on Meituan takeout platform, with images of villains drinking tea and the words "Xi Tea" on its business page.

The packaging bag and milk tea cup of this product use the figurine tea pattern, which is the same as or similar to the Meixi trademark. The store comment area shows that a large number of consumers think it is genuine tea and buy it.

In order to safeguard its own rights and interests, Meixi Company sued this to the court, but Yan Zhipeng did not reply.

Later, the People's Court of Xuhui District of Shanghai City heard the dispute case of trademark infringement according to law and ruled that "Xi Tea" party compensated "Xi Tea" party 40,000 yuan.

Xicha was established in Shenzhen in 2012 and originated from Jiangmen Riverside Alley. Founder Nie Yunchen founded Huangcha (Huangcha is the predecessor of Xicha) in Jiangmen, Guangdong Province in 2012. Soon after financing, Xicha began to expand nationwide and opened stores in first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.

In April 2018, Xicha completed the B round of financing of Dragon Ball Capital and Black Ant Capital under the United States Mission, with a specific financing amount of 400 million yuan. As for the reason for obtaining financing, Xicha said that it was because the two sides had the same concept and both sides believed that Xicha and Meituan could have closer cooperation opportunities in the future. With the background advantage of the comments of the United States Mission, Xicha launched a take-out service. In addition, Xicha also entered the overseas market. In November of the same year, Xicha officially landed in Singapore. And opened its first store in ION Orchard Shopping Center on Orchard Road;

In March 2020, Xicha obtained a new round of strategic financing again, jointly led by Hillhouse Capital and Coatue Management (Kotu Capital). The specific amount was not disclosed, but after the completion of Series C financing, Xicha will be valued at more than 16 billion yuan.

In addition, Xi Tea currently only has stores in China and Singapore under the names "Xi Tea" and "Xi Tea Hot Wheat," and does not accept any form of alliance or agency.

At present, Xi Tea has more than 300 stores. On April 13, Xi Tea launched a classic product, Multi-meat Bayberry. The product sold as many as 120,000 cups on the first day of listing, achieving a sales record of more than 3.5 million cups in 72 days. In fact, since 2019, Xi Tea has been very clear about its development direction. Xi Tea's innovation pace for products, new retail channels and marketing content has also been accelerating.
