In what ways do we learn about coffee? Editors usually get first-hand information about coffee competitions from WCE (world coffee events). On July 19th, the website issued the latest news: announcing the latest news of the 2021 Milan World Coffee Championships and Taipei WCC:

The Fine Coffee Association (SCA) announced that the 2021 Milan World Coffee Championships will be held in HostMilano, Italy, from October 22 to 26, including the World Barista Championships, the World winemakers Cup and the World Cup sommeliers Championship. HostMilano is an exhibition dedicated to the catering and hospitality industry, with many important Italian and international organizations on display at the Milan International Exhibition Centre every two years. World Coffee Events and SCA have established a long-term partnership with HostMilano, launching unique events and experiences in past programs. Due to the recent unfortunate surge in COVID-19 cases and corresponding regulations in Taiwan, SCA and the Taiwan Coffee Association (TCA) made a difficult decision to postpone the World Latte Art, World Spirit Coffee and World Coffee roasting Championships in Taipei in November 2021.

So what is WCE?

World Coffee Events (WCE) is an event management organization registered in Dublin, Ireland. WCE was originally established by the European boutique coffee association and the American boutique coffee association in 2011, and since then the two have been unified into the boutique coffee association. The current WCE portfolio includes the 7th annual World Coffee Championships: the World barista Competition, the World Coffee Art Championship, the World Brewing Competition, the World Coffee l Spirits Competition, the World Cup testing Competition, the World Coffee roasting Competition, and the (Turkish Coffee Pot) Cezve / Ibrik Championship.
